Nidhi Tiwari is a 2014-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer who has recently been appointed as the Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She hails from Mehmurganj in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, which is also PM Modi's Lok Sabha constituency. Before joining the PMO, she worked in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), specializing in Disarmament and International Security Affairs.
Her career journey is impressive—she secured the 96th rank in the 2013 Civil Services Examination and initially worked as an Assistant Commissioner in Varanasi. In 2022, she joined the PMO as an Under Secretary and was later promoted to Deputy Secretary. Her expertise in foreign and security policies has been a significant asset in her roles
