Tota Roy Chowdhury (birth name: Pushparag Roy Choudhury) is an Indian actor, writer, and director who works in Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi cinema, as well as in TV serials and web series. He has established a strong presence in the Bengali film industry. He is known for Chokher Bali (2003), Kaththi (2014), Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), and Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo (2024).

Early Life and Education
Tota Roy Chowdhury was born on July 9, 1976, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, into a middle-class Hindu family. His birth name is Pushparag Roy Choudhury. His father is Tilak Chakraborty, and his mother is Mahua Roy Choudhury. He completed his schooling at Goethals Memorial School in Kurseong. He then pursued higher education at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, where he graduated.
In his final year of school, he was awarded the title of Best Athlete. During his second year in college, he made up his mind to join the Indian Army and was preparing for the CDS exams when fate intervened. Director Prabhat Roy offered him a small role in his film, which he accepted. That one film led to other offers, and soon he decided to become a professional actor.
