Early Life and Education
Darshana Banik was born on August 15, 1994, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, into a middle-class Hindu family. Her father, Tarak Banik, is a government bank employee, and her mother is Purva Banik. Her elder brother, Debaprio Banik, works at Hearsay Systems in California, United States, and his wife is Shritama Chakraborty Banik.
She attended Bidhannagar Municipal School in Kolkata. Later, she completed her undergraduate degree at East Calcutta Girls' College and her postgraduate degree at Rabindra Bharati University. During the 12th grade, she received a marriage proposal, but her father rejected it. She started modelling when she was a student.
Career
Darshana Banik started her career as a model and brand ambassador for various brands like Colors, Vodafone, PC Chandra Jewellers, and Boroline from 2009. She appeared in the Dadagiri Season 5 promo in 2014 and also served as the ambassador for Colors Bangla.
In 2018, she made her acting debut in the Bengali film Asche Abar Shabor (2018), directed by Arindam Sil. In 2022, she made her debut in the Bangladeshi film Operation Sundarbans (2022), where she played the role of Dr. Aditi. Since then, she has been a part of several successful Bengali films, including Mukhomukhi (2019), Rish (2022), and Antaratma (2022).
In 2018, she worked in the Telugu film Aatagallu (2018), where she starred alongside Baby Akshara, Jagapathi Babu, and Brahmanandam. Since then, she has continued to work on various Telugu projects, including the drama thriller Black (2022).
In 2021, she made her Hindi debut with the film Dybbuk (2021), where she starred alongside Emraan Hashmi and Nikita Dutta. Since then, she has been involved in Hindi cinema, including the Hindi-dubbed version of the Telugu film Hum Hai Players (2024), where she starred alongside Nara Rohit and Jagapathi Babu.

Darshana Banik married Sourav Das on December 15, 2023. They first met on the small screen in 2015. Later, when they worked together again in 2021–2022, their love blossomed. When in college, Darshana Banik was in a long-term relationship with a classmate, but they eventually broke up. She loves to travel.
