Ankush Hazra was born on February 14, 1989, in Bardhaman, West Bengal, India, into a Bengali Hindu family. His father is Krishnan Hazra, and his mother is Nagma Hazra. He completed his education at Holy Rock School and East West Model School in Bardhaman. He later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Heritage Institute of Technology in Kolkata. He grew up in a family deeply influenced by Bengali cinema and was particularly inspired by legendary actors like Uttam Kumar and Soumitra Chatterjee. He developed a strong interest in dance, particularly in the classical Indian dance form of Bharatnatyam. He trained under the guidance of famous choreographer Baba Yadav.
