Evin Ahmad was born on June 8, 1990, in Stockholm, Södermanland, Sweden. She grew up alongside her relatives and friends in the Akalla district of Stockholm, where she lived for 22 years. She is of Kurdish descent. Her father, Adel Ahmad, is an actor from Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan, and her mother, Narin Hamada, is from Afrin, Syria. She has a brother and a sister; her brother’s name is Aran Ahmad, and her sister’s name is unknown.
His passion for the arts was evident from a young age. She completed her studies at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2015.

In 2007, she made her silver screen debut in the film adaptation of Jonas Hassen Khemiri's novel Ett Öga Rött (One Red Eye).
In 2017, she wrote at least one book, En dag ska jag bygga ett slott av pengar (One Day I’m Going to Build a Castle Out of Money), a semi-autobiographical novel that explores themes of identity, belonging, and ambition.
