Venkata Datta Sai Gouravelly was born on October 13, 1994, in Hyderabad, Telangana. He grew up in a middle-class family, with his father, GT Venkateshwar Rao, serving as the Managing Director at Posidex Technologies and a former member of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).
From a young age, Venkata Datta Sai displayed a keen interest in technology and innovation. He was fascinated by how technology could transform lives and often engaged in creating technology-based models. During his school days, he would repair devices such as thermostats.

In November 2016, he served as a Research Associate at the Center for Experimental Social Sciences (CESS) Nuffield – FLAME University in Pune, where his work involved analysing and preparing detailed reports on various projects. In August 2018, he joined JSW as an In-House Consultant, further honing his skills in business analysis and consultancy, and managed the IPL team Delhi Capitals.
In 2019, Venkata Datta Sai co-founded Sour Apple Asset Management, a portfolio management and financial advisory firm. His entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen led him to become the Managing Director of the company. In December 2019, he was appointed Executive Director of Posidex Technologies, where he oversees the marketing and HR departments, as well as alliances and global partnerships.
